A Boeing 747 is going to to a new destination, but by soaring through the air. A retired KLM Boeing 747 will become a new attraction at an Amsterdam hotel. The Boeing 747 is one of the worlds largest passenger airplanes. Depending on the configuration the plane was capable of seating up to 600 passengers. The jumbo jet had to be transported from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport to the nearby hotel which is approximately 8 miles away. It was not an easy process, crews needed to lay metal plates across fields so the plane would not sink into the ground due to its weight. The procedure took place last week. No one knows why this hotel wants this monster of a plane but we are looking forward to finding out once they get it set up for the public.
