Samsung has teamed up with ALICE (an app to help to manage a hotel customer’s experience) to create a solution for the hotel industry by creating a custom app that works with the gear s3 smartwatch. By doing this, hotel staff can stay connected with each other and provide a smoother and more efficient responses to guest requests, and incidents. The first hotel to implement the joint venture between ALICE and Samsung is Viceroy Hotels & Resorts.
Let’s say a guest makes a request for more towels or some extra shampoo, the appropriate hotel employee will get a silent notification about the guest’s request and he or she can accept the task with a tap of the smartwatch, and all the other hotel employees will know that the task has been accepted and will be taken care of. Managers can track the requests in real time to see if they have been completed.
This is an ideal solution for hotel workers who are always on the go and need a hands free tool in order to complete their day to day tasks such as housekeeping and maintenance workers.
