Summary: What can I say. I loved the hotel and staff. Yang is very helpful and speaks excellent English. He met me on the street where my taxi dropped me off and took me up to the hotel (it is up some stairs) and carried my suitcase for me. He will provide you with a map of Old Town Lijiang and explain how to reach the various locations. The hotel is nice with a lovely courtyard and my room had a view of the Snow Mountain as well as the landing outside my room. The hotel has 2 floors, so no elevator. It is in a quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants and grocery stores as well as to Old Town. I loved staying here, and if I go back and am able to climb stairs (since I am getting old), I would stay there again.
