Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The owners were incredibly helpful, waiting for us until midnight and personally escorting us to the hotel at 1 am through unfamiliar roads during the peak of the Mahakumbh. Upon arriving in Prayagraj, the police advised us to stay in our car and not enter the city, so we contacted the homestay proprietors. The father-son duo promptly arrived on their motorbikes and guided us to the stay with great patience, navigating through a maze of unknown lanes. During our stay, they served us tea and snacks twice a day, and the homestay’s close proximity to the Mahakumbh Mela was a wonderful bonus.

Negative: The price of this property is exceptionally high relative to its quality and does not reflect its true value, though the heightened demand during the Mahakumbh Mela likely inflated rates. Contrary to our booking, which promised private bathrooms, the rooms only offered access to a shared facility. The furniture and overall cleanliness fell short of acceptable standards. The property gave the distinct impression of a private residence hastily repurposed as a hotel to capitalize on the Mahakumbh event.

Summary: Helpful owners, but overpriced with shared bathrooms and poor hygiene.
