The hosteler is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travelers. in line with our brand positioning and community-living model, we do not recommend families and do not permit guests below the age of 18 years. admission of minors, including infants and children under 18 years of age, is not allowed even when accompanied by legal guardians, except at select properties namely bam rishikesh, dalhousie, kasauli, kufri, lansdowne and narkanda, the hosteler also believes and promotes lean hospitality, essentially meaning that we are believers of self-service, no porter/valet/etc, and are a no frills hospitality company. this is ingrained in our operating model in order to provide excellent services to our guests while keeping the accommodations costs as affordable as possible. we have also adopted a pay-as-you-go model for certain amenities such as locks, toiletries and towels on a chargeable, pay-as-you-use basis, which is communicated transparently to guests, drugs/substance abuse is strictly prohibited at all our hostels. in case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel immediately and would be blacklisted from staying at our hostels forever, for nonrefundable reservations, modification requests (not cancelations) can be considered only if received within 60 minutes of the original booking time. unfortunately, requests made after this timeframe cannot be accepted, all our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. smoking inside the dorms is strictly prohibited, we cannot guarantee accommodations in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people traveling together. allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability. that will strictly be subject to availability until the time of check-in, outside food and alcohol is permitted only in designated common areas and inside private rooms. it is strictly prohibited inside dorm rooms, in case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time, early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management, all guests are mandatorily required to do a pre-arrival contactless check-in via the glu app (link of which is shared with each guest immediately post booking via whatsapp), 100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking, only female guests are permitted to check into the female dorm. if a male guest books this room type, check-in will be denied as per policy. modifications to the booking are allowed only within 60 minutes of reservation. no refund will be issued if the booking falls outside the cancelation policy period.this property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces.
